Biography
Priya Nair leads WAFS's Audit & Assurance practice with a philosophy that an audit shouldn't just validate the past — it should give an organization tools to build a better future.
She spent her first ten years in public accounting at a Big Four firm, rising to Senior Manager and working on complex public and private audits. She joined WAFS in 2017 to apply that same rigorous, risk-based audit methodology to middle-market organizations and nonprofits that deserve national-quality audit work without the national-firm overhead.
Her nonprofit expertise is particularly deep. She manages audit relationships with more than a dozen prominent Seattle-area foundations and social service organizations, navigating complex Uniform Guidance requirements and restricted funding compliance. She also leads WAFS's expanding SOC reporting practice, helping tech companies demonstrate control environments to enterprise customers.
Priya earned her degree from the University of Mumbai and her Master's in Professional Accounting from Seattle University. She volunteers extensively with United Way of King County and frequently presents on board governance at regional nonprofit conferences. She speaks English, Hindi, and Marathi.
