Community

Rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Invested in its people.

We built Washington Law to serve this region — not just its boardrooms, but its neighborhoods, its founders, its families. Community investment is not a line item in our marketing budget. It is part of what it means to practice law here.

Pro Bono Legal Services

400+

pro bono hours annually

Washington Law Pro Bono Program

Every attorney at Washington Law commits a minimum of 50 pro bono hours per year to serve individuals and families who cannot afford legal representation. We partner with the King County Bar Association's KCBA Legal Aid program and provide direct representation in housing, family, and small-business matters.

Small Business Support

200+

founders served since 2016

Pacific Northwest Founders Clinic

Twice a year, we open our conference room to early-stage Pacific Northwest entrepreneurs for free two-hour legal consultations. Topics range from entity formation and founder agreements to employment basics and intellectual property strategy. Over 200 founders have participated since 2016.

Education & Mentorship

2

paid clerkships per year

Seattle Law Student Mentorship

Washington Law partners with the University of Washington School of Law and Seattle University School of Law to mentor first-generation law students. Our attorneys speak at orientations, conduct mock interviews, and host two paid summer clerks each year — intentionally recruiting from underrepresented backgrounds.

Neighborhood Investment

30+

businesses supported per year

South Seattle Small Business Initiative

We provide reduced-fee legal services to small businesses in South Seattle neighborhoods that are underserved by commercial legal practices. Participating businesses receive assistance with leases, contracts, employment policies, and regulatory compliance through a sliding-scale fee structure.

Civic Leadership

Our attorneys serve in leadership roles across Seattle's civic and professional organizations — bringing legal expertise where it matters most.
